Quiz @ Wheeler - November 7

- Location is Wheeler.
- Arrive by 9:30am.
- Material is John 1-9.
- Review General Info, particularly:
- Registration costs and options
- For your new quizzers: Photo release forms
- Register your team(s) after you sign up/log in.
- Register any memory verse awards (cookies!):
- For those arriving Friday evening, Wheeler will be hosting a game night with light snacks (feel free to bring additional snacks to share!) at the Menomonie campus starting at 6:30pm. Contact Daniel with any questions and to RSVP (helpful, but not required).
- Bring payment for t-shirts ($20 each) if you ordered them, 1 check per group, made out to Wisconsin District NYI.
- Let Stephen know if you have a quizzer or adult who would be willing to share how God has been using the quizzing material in their life.
- Lunch is wood-fired pizza, chips, salad, and dessert, for a freewill donation.
- As this is our last quiz before December, we will be selecting the district team to go to St. Louis.
- We usually take 1 team of 6 people.
- After the round robin, we do 1-3 rounds of individual quizzing.
- The district team will be determined by taking a combination of each person's score from the preliminary rounds and his/her total from the individual rounds.
- Plan to attend Winter Retreat (January 29-31).
- Consider attending the following tournaments:
- Lela Close (January 15-16, John 1-15)
- Indiana Classic (February 19-20, John 1-18)

- Lunch is BBQ and hot dogs/chili dogs, chips, veggies, and dessert, for a freewill donation.
- Consider attending the September Showdown (September 18-19, John 1-4).
- Start planning for QuizFest (October 16-17, John 1-7). Registration is open now, and the deadline is 11:59pm on 10/7.
Quiz @ Richland Center - March 14

- Location is Richland Center.
- Arrive by 9:30am.
- Material is 1 Corinthians 1 - 2 Corinthians 13.
- New quizzers need a photo release form.
- Register your team(s) after you sign up/log in.
- Register any memory verse awards (cookies!):
- As announced at the October quiz, we will have an award for those who can quote all of 1 Corinthians 13.
- Adults can participate as well, but priority goes to quizzers each month.
- It must be quoted to Stephen (or another adult Stephen designates) at the quiz.
- It must be quoted within 1 minute 45 seconds.
- It does not have to be word-for-word, but any word differences must not change the meaning. For example, "If I speak in the tongues of men or angels" would be acceptable in place of "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels".
- You do not have to know the verse numbers.
- If you say something wrong, you can correct yourself.
- The award is a custom-made bracelet from a company that provides safe, sustainable employment for women in need in the Dominican Republic.
- Encourage your quizzers to reflect on how 1 and 2 Corinthians have impacted their lives this year and prepare to share some of those thoughts. Adults too.
- Lunch is hot ham, buns, mac and cheese, chips, veggies, and dessert, for a freewill donation.
- We will be selecting the district team for Celebrate Life. We will only have one team, but we will take at least six quizzers. Depending on other activities those quizzers are involved in, we may add a seventh. If your quizzers might possibly make the district team, please come prepared with their availability for practices.
