Here are the details for our next quiz on Saturday:

  • The quiz is at Madison CrossPoint.
  • Register your team(s).
    • Please register by Thursday night (11/8) (it will close at 7:00pm).
    • If you have 6 or more quizzers, register your teams the way you would prefer them to be split, but also e-mail me your other options (in case I need to split you 4-2 instead of 3-3, etc.).
  • Register your equipment.
  • Register any memory verse awards:
  • Bring any photo release forms that you haven't submitted yet.
  • Arrive by 9:30am.
  • The material being covered is Matthew 1-12.
  • Lunch will be a baked potato bar at the church for $5.
  • As this is our last quiz before December, we will be selecting the district team to go to St. Louis.
    • We will take 1 team of 6 people.
    • After the round robin, we will do at least 3 rounds of Top 16.
    • The top 6 will be determined by taking each person's average from the preliminary rounds and adding it to his/her total from the Top 16 rounds.
  • Start thinking about Sterling (February 15-16, Matthew 1-25).

Quiz @ Richland Center - September 15

Posted 09 Sep, 2012 07:13 PM by Stephen

Details for the first quiz:

  • Review information available on the General Info page (link also in the menu at the top) to ensure you are up-to-date on the following:
  • Sign up as a user on this site if you haven't already (you need to do this in order to register your team).
    • If you previously signed up and forgot your password, there is a link on the Login page to reset it, or let me know and I can reset it.
  • Register your team(s) here.
    • Please register by 5:00pm on Thursday (9/13).
    • If you have 6 or more quizzers, register your teams the way you would prefer them to be split, but also e-mail me your other options (in case I need to split you 4-2 instead of 3-3, etc.).
  • Register your equipment.
  • The quiz is at Richland Center.
  • Arrive by 9:30am.
  • The material being covered is Matthew 1-4.
  • Lunch will be pulled pork provided at the church for $5.
  • Because we will have several new quizzers, we will try to be flexible with some of the rules, but we'll make sure we also point things out so the teens (and coaches) can learn how they are supposed to be handled.
  • There is a post-quiz fun opportunity: the Richland Center church's road rally!
    • What is a road rally? You drive around Richland County following directions and answering questions/puzzles to get from one place to the next, until you reach the final stop (with a meal and socializing).
    • It starts at 3:30, but vehicle start times are staggered, so we should be able to clean up and then head out as the last cars.
    • It usually finishes somewhere between 7:00 and 9:00pm.
    • If you are interested, RSVP to Daniel Hintz.
  • Start thinking about QuizFest.

District Finals will be this Saturday at Tomah.

  • Arrive Saturday morning by 9:30am.
  • Register your equipment.
  • Register your team(s).  If you have 6 or more people, register your teams the way you would prefer them to be split, but also e-mail me your other options (in case I need to split you 4-2 instead of 3-3, etc.).
  • Register memory work for Hebrews 1-3, Hebrews 4-6, Hebrews 7-10, Hebrews 11 - 1 Peter 2, 1 Peter 3-5, and/or 2 Peter 1-3.
  • Material is all of Hebrews 1 - 2 Peter 3.
  • Lunch will be sloppy joes, chips, desserts, and beverage for $5.
  • Ordered a t-shirt but haven't received it yet?  Bring $14.
  • If you have someone who is not in sixth grade and didn't register for District Celebrate Life, they still need to register for that since District Finals is technically part of Celebrate Life.
  • I am currently leaning toward just doing one team of six quizzers for Regional Celebrate Life this year, but the final decision is still to be made.
